The project

Breaking Borders Through Art is a project that aims to bring together what art and human rights have in common. Both are concerned with what is (or is not) the identity, dignity, transformation of lives, vision of the future and mission of humanity.
By bringing together artists with migrants, a work of art will be developed as the product of a significant connection between them.
Inspired by the concept of feelingful thinking, art dignifies the human experience by giving voice to thoughts and feelings, which triggers the recognition of humanity itself and, therefore, the contemplation of our collective humanity.
These artistic products will be auctioned and the funds will revert to the NGO Donate4Refugees.
The Breaking Borders Through Art project - which brought together over 150 people, including refugees, asylum seekers, and artists - produced artworks filled with life stories from modern times, narrated firsthand by those experiencing the largest migration crisis since World War II.
The works were exhibited online and then auctioned

“My most meaningful project to date. Part of the “Breaking Borders Through Art” Project by NGO Humanity on The Move that connected 80 refugees and 80 emerging artists to create 80 meaningful artworks. Me and Promise really got hooked on how positive our view of life must be, no matter the hardships we all endure everyday. We´re both grateful to be a part of this and to still maintain contact over one year after the start of the project.”
The artwork was later sold at the exhibitions' auction, on December 2021.
