Choni Ribeiro (b. 1998) is a Portuguese artist based in Los Angeles. Working across painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and spatial assemblage, his practice explores relationships between materials, structures, gestures, and time.

He works through processes of experimentation, repetition, and transformation, allowing relationships between materials and forms to emerge over time. Rather than treating materials as fixed, Choni is interested in their capacity to shift, respond, and produce unexpected relationships.

Ribeiro holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto, Portugal, and is currently completing an MFA at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, expected in 2027.
